From winter semester 2022/23, it will be possible to complete a specialisation in ‘Vocational Inclusion Education’ as part of the Master's degree programmes LBS and LBS for Bachelor's students (LBS Sprint). Students on the Master's degree programme in Educational Sciences also have access via the specialisation in Vocational and Occupational Education.
With this specialisation, students acquire a basic qualification for the pedagogical handling of the heterogeneous target groups of so-called disadvantaged and impaired young people in the transition from school to work. Among other things, it qualifies them to teach young people in school and extracurricular vocational preparation programmes who, for various reasons, were unable to start vocational training. In a broader sense, competences for the individual understanding, support and motivation of people with less successful school careers, goal-differentiated competence-oriented teaching, the individual planning of career prospects and a social understanding of social educational inequality are taught.
Completion of this specialisation is certified by the Vocational and Business Education department in the form of an additional study certificate at the end of the degree programme in the sense of special skills acquisition.
In order to complete such a specialisation, students on the degree programmes in question take six courses from the following content areas in the regular curriculum of vocational and business education:
Introduction to vocational inclusion pedagogy
Subject perspective
Group-related didactics
Institutional differentiation of further vocational perspectives
Social backgrounds
Practical studies
The relevant courses are offered within the existing modules of the individual degree programmes and are specifically listed in the course catalogue as suitable for the certificate of study.
I. Enrolment
Students of Vocational and Business Education or Vocational and Business Education who would like to take part in the specialisation should register by email with the Social/Special Education in Vocational Education advisory service. They will receive further information and can discuss the course of the specialisation. Registration for the study certificate is possible at any time.
II Certificates of attendance
As is usual in the regular curriculum, the achievements are verified via the transcript of records or the final documents; in addition, proof of participation in the course should be obtained so that the course titles are also clear.
