Research in the Team Adult and Further Education

Central fields of research and teaching in the team AE/FE:

• Changes in the constitutional conditions of continuing education (social transformation processes, institutional/organizational structural changes)
• Programme development as well as professional planning and management as a field of professionalisation for adult education (education management, education controlling)
• teaching-learning processes in further education and their meso-/microdidactic design
• Individual participation in continuing education in specific fields and regions
• Priorities: Digitization - Professionalization - Culture

With its research focus on digitisation, the AE/FE team is pursuing a complex and sustainable topic area from an educational science perspective through several research projects (e.g. on cultural education, opening up universities, vocational and company qualification requirements, ethical action).
