OpenDigiMedia is a project of Leibniz Universität Hannover and the Agency for Adult and Continuing Education funded by the ESF and the state of Lower Saxony. The focus is on the development of an online learning platform with various courses on the topic of Industry 4.0, working largely with free educational materials (OER) that can be reused for own purposes. In addition, the project offers training and consulting for continuing education institutions to enable them to independently implement blended learning events. Advisory services for prospective students on the learning platform round off the range of services.
The OpenDigiMedia.de learning platform is primarily aimed at skilled workers from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the manufacturing sector. Since the platform offers a low-threshold entry point and numerous basic courses on the topic, it is also used by people from related industries, such as logistics and administration, and by people with other qualification levels, such as trainees.
The training and consulting services offered by OpenDigiMedia primarily address educational staff from further education institutions in Lower Saxony. Municipal and business-related employees as well as network partners of adult and continuing education also regularly appear at the training courses.
